Coast Clinical Trials,
LLC (WCCT), a
privately-owned clinical
research facility,
announced the expansion
of its clinical
facilities on Redondo
Avenue in Long Beach.
The new Phase I unit is
part of the 25,000 sq ft
expansion adjacent to
the outpatient clinical
trials unit.
?The expansion of our
Phase I unit will help
us meet the growing
demand from our
pharmaceutical sponsors
and provide a
comfortable environment
for our trial
participants,? said Dr.
Kenneth Kim, President
and Chief Executive
Officer. A 40-bed
overnight facility, the
Phase I unit offers
private sleeping
quarters and examination
rooms as well as an
entertainment area for
study participants. The
new facility boasts
state-of-the-art
equipment such as,
atomic clocks, multiple
spirometry units and ECG
machines, treadmills,
-70?C freezers,
refrigerated
centrifuges,
stadiometers, and a
sleep lab.

elderly, pediatric, and
