Our outpatient facilities are capable of performing many technical procedures
including, but not limited to, IV infusion, cortosyn stimulation, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic sampling, pulmonary function testing, electrocardiogram, stadiometry, and phlebotomy. Our site features state-of-the-art equipment including multiple spirometry units, multiple ECG machines, stadiometer, treadmill equipment, -80° freezer, patient exam rooms, and a private conference room for monitors.

In addition to the outpatient facilities, WCCT’s fully self-sufficient, 120 bed Phase I overnight facility is able to meet the needs of the simplest phase I study to the more complex multiple day/multiple arm studies involving complex procedures. Our facility features equipment such as refrigerated centrifuges, -80° freezer, multiple EKGs, atomic clocks to ensure adherence to protocol-specific timelines, and other equipment and materials necessary to successfully execute a study. In addition, the facility features satellite TV and other amenities to ensure the comfort of our volunteers which increases compliance and decrease overall drop out rates.

Our site has a broad range of resources that are used for the recruitment of patients. Most of our study participants come from physician referrals, newspaper, magazine, and radio advertisements, community outreach events, flyers, and other active recruitment tactics. Our dedicated database quickly identifies prospective study patients, allowing us to enroll studies in a timely manner. We have access to special ethnic populations.
